AP Psychology students engaged in a Harkness roundtable discussion during which they explored women’s visibility, education in America, and how their personal experiences have shaped their learning. The students discussed the impact learning can have academically, professionally, and socially after reading two articles on tracking and the hidden curriculum. “They dug deep into their insights regarding expectations and how social media plays a major role,” said Strawberry Gallagher-Da Silva, social studies teacher. They learned to explore their ideas as a group, developed the courage to speak about difficult topics, and gained the compassion to listen, as well as the empathy to understand.”
