The 2023 Homecoming festivities, which were organized by the Mount Saint Mary Academy Office of Institutional Advancement and the Alumnae Association, began Friday evening with a lovely cocktail reception in the Parlor. On Saturday morning, a Liturgy was held in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, with a special Hall of Honor Induction and recognition of class years. This year, alumnae from classes ending in 3s and 8s were honored, with special recognition of 1963, 1973, and 1998.
Thank you to all who submitted nominations for the Hall of Honor. It was a difficult choice as we had many nominations due to COVID which caused the lapse of induction presentations.
During the Liturgy, Sister Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress, addressed alumnae, stating, "Whether it has been a few short years or several decades since you walked these hallways, your presence reaffirms the timeless bonds and the circle of Mercy that connects all of us. You are part of the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy, and you have made this school a beacon of academic excellence, compassion, and service."
The following individuals were inducted and their names will be featured on the Hall of Honor plaque on display at the Academy.
- Sister Mary Petrina Peters, RSM
- Sister Mary Gomolka, RSM
- Sister Mary McAuley Ronan, RSM
- Sister Lee Ann Amico, RSM
- Cindy Martinangelo '78

- Jacqueline C. Muratore '01 (Asst. Directress for Faculty/Curriculum/Planning)
- Aurora Randazzise '69

Next, alumnae enjoyed a delicious brunch in the Sister Lisa Gambacorto Theater, where displays of memorabilia and uniforms from "100 Years of Fashion" were shared. Campus tours, class photographs, shopping at the Lion's Emporium, and a fireside chat with Directress Sister Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S. and current students, completed the gathering.
