Mount Saint Mary Academy offers a variety of transportation options for students. Families submit a B6T Application for Private School Transportation form annually to the Academy, and the Academy in turn submits that to each municipality. Each year local school districts determine whether they will
provide transportation to the out of district schools. Families are reimbursed approximately $1,000 per year if their resident school district does not provide service.
2019-2020 Transportation Options
Kensington Shuttle Service to/from the Summit Train Station:
Kensington Shuttle Service to/from the Summit Train station: Shuttle service will be provided by Kensington Bus Company, servicing the Gladstone & Hackettstown/Morristown NJT train lines. Cost to be determined. Students may also use the Summit Train Station as a central stop. In addition to morning service, the bus leaves the Academy at 3:30 pm and 6 pm. If traveling by train, students are responsible for obtaining their own NJT train tickets.
Public School District Bus Service: Currently students residing in Westfield and Cranford receive Central Stop Bus Service provided by Union County. Availability of this transportation option is reviewed annually by the public school district.
Kensington Central Stop Bus Service: Central Bus Service is arranged based on demand. Currently several towns in Somerset & Hunterdon Counties are serviced by Kensington. A late bus leaves the Academy at 6 p.m. each school day.
Car Pools: Many families arrange their own car pools to/from the Academy. After submission of an enrollment contract, new students will be provided access to the current school directory and may also contact the Director of Admissions for local contacts.
If you have any questions regarding transportation, please feel free to contact Donna Venezia Toryak, Director of Admissions, at (908) 912-2231 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
