Academics at the Mount

Critical and creative thinking are at the heart of the Mount Saint Mary Academy curriculum. Students are active participants in their own learning in a setting that fosters scholarship, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity. They choose from among Advancement Placement, Honors and College Prep courses. A one-to-one computing environment, state-of-the-art facilities and an 8:1 student-teacher ratio ensure that students develop the skills and confidence they need to excel in higher education and beyond.
Mount Saint Mary Academy is proud to offer a challenging college preparatory curriculum designed to best prepare students for college and beyond. Critical and creative thinking are at the heart of the Mount curriculum. Students are active participants in their own learning in a setting that fosters scholarship, enthusiasm, and intellectual curiosity. Classes are designed to encourage students to think critically, write effectively, and engage in high-level problem solving. Students can select from College Prep, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses. Each year, students take AP exams in 14 subjects.

Each year, 100 percent of Mount graduates are accepted to college and in 2021, 86 seniors earned more than $21 million in scholarships and grants. Our graduates go on to attend prestigious colleges and universities throughout the country and the world including Harvard University, Brown University, Georgetown University, Duke University, Cornell University, the University of Notre Dame, and Carnegie Mellon University.
