Admissions Process

To help you navigate the admissions process with ease, we’ve gathered all the key information you need below—including details about our online application, campus visit opportunities, testing requirements, transcript submissions, and other essential materials.

Mount Saint Mary Academy Admission Process

  • Complete an Inquiry Form

    Prospective students must complete an Inquiry Form by visiting the INQUIRY FORM page as their first step. Completing this form allows us to create an initial profile record in our database for your family.
  • Visit Us!

    OPEN HOUSE
    Students in grades 6 through 8 and prospective transfers are invited to meet our teachers, coaches, members of the Administration, and current students at our Fall Open House, set for Sunday, October 18, 2026.

    PRIVATE TOUR
    Not able to attend an Open House? We invite families with students in grades 7 and 8 to schedule an appointment to tour our beautiful campus and meet with our Admissions team. Tours will begin in November following our October Open House.  

    FRESHMAN FOR A DAY
    Led by our freshmen and designed to offer insight into student life at the Mount, visitors will attend classes, meet teachers and staff, and see the day-to-day life at the Mount. The visit will end will a complimentary lunch. Visits begin mid-October 2026 for students in Grade 8. Students in 7th grade may schedule their Freshman for a Day visit in the spring.  
  • Apply for the Class of 2031!

    Students wishing to apply to the Class of 2031 will receive login credentials to the myMSMA portal after completing an inquiry form. Applications for Class of 2031 will open mid-September. 

    Transfer students should follow the same process and complete an inquiry form to receive credentials for the Admissions portal. 
  • Supporting Materials & Financial Aid

    To complete your application, the following supporting materials are required to be submitted through the myMSMA portal:  
     
    TESTING
    All students wishing to apply to the Mount must take the MSMA Entrance Exam of the Pre Act 8/9 on campus during the second Saturday of November or third Sunday. 
     
    LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION
    The Mount requires four letters of recommendation. The letter request links will be available on your application checklist found on the myMSMA admissions portal. Through our system you will be able to email the teachers directly the confidential form. A list of the letters of recommendation needed can be found on the portal.
     
     
    RELEASE OF RECORDS
    This form will become available on your application checklist found in the admission portal. Through our system you will be able to email your daughter’s current school directly to submit official transcripts. We ask for official transcripts from the current academic year and at least two previous years along with standardized test scores. Official transcripts must come directly from the school; we cannot accept copies of report cards from parents. 
     
    INTERVIEW
     After submitting all required application materials, you will be contacted to schedule your daughter’s interview. This one-on-one conversation allows us to learn more about your daughter’s interests, experiences, and goals while also giving her the chance to ask questions and share what excites her most about joining the Mount community. During this time, we require one parent to be present during the interview.
