Madeleine Ahlbeck Receives Prestigious History Award

Joanne Cadigan-Peters, Social Studies Department Chairperson, recently presented Madeleine Ahlbeck '23 with the Excellence in American History award from the Basking Ridge Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR). Madeline is a senior at the Mount. Her sister, Alexandra, graduated in 2021.

 

“This award is given annually to the student who meets the DAR qualifications of academic achievement, motivation, and personal interest in American history, as observed and evaluated by the Social Studies Department. Maddie’s interest in American history, national events, and politics made her the most deserved candidate,” said Mrs. Cadigan Peters.

 

“Maddie has taken and excelled in many of our Advanced Placement programs in the Social Studies curriculum, such as APUSH, APGOPO, APCOGO and AP Psychology. We wish her well at Washington & Lee University where she will pursue pre-law."
