Jacqueline Muratore, Assistant Directress for Faculty, Curriculum, and Planning, said, “I was very excited to be invited to read for the AP Statistics Exam again this year.  Over the past three years, I have found AP Reading to be outstanding professional development that had a strong impact on my teaching and understanding of the AP Free Response question process.”

“I am so happy that the Mount has multiple faculty members who were selected for the AP Reading this year in various subjects," she added. "These experiences give teachers a deeper understanding of the AP Exams and ultimately benefit our students. AP Readers learn how to better assess student work, understand the expectations of AP-style questions, and bring their discoveries to the classroom to ensure student success on the AP Exams.”

Dr. Joseph Bonk, English Department Chair, has been selected to read for the AP Literature & Composition Exam which will be held virtually and in-person from June 3 to 9.

"The five AP Readings I've participated in since 2004 remain among the most influential professional development of my career, so I’m excited to participate again this year," said Dr. Bonk. "In addition to scoring essays at the Reading, English teachers from the college and high-school levels discuss teaching strategies, modes of assessment, and what students in AP and college classes can find difficult. I'm eager to share what I learn with the English Department and its fine students!"

Kathleen Brennan, Mathematics Department Chair, who has been named a Reader for AP Economics, said, "I’ve been fortunate to be an AP reader for the past seven years. It’s a great opportunity to collaborate with high school and college professors and learn best practices. It has definitely made me a better teacher."
