Elizabeth Weiler, Esq., P’08’11

Elizabeth (“Liz”) Weiler, an attorney, was introduced to Mount Saint Mary Academy when her two daughters, Carolyn (‘08) and Christine (‘11) attended. Impressed with the Mount’s mission of providing young women with a rigorous education in a supportive environment imbued with the foundational Mercy Core values, she decided to volunteer her time and expertise at the Mount. 

Starting in 2007 she began her tenure as the Lawyer Coach for the Mount’s Mock Trial Team. Her greatest joys are helping the team members learn about the U.S. legal system and watching each one of them gain the confidence to present themselves in court, to think on their feet, and to find their voice. The Legal Lions have met with tremendous success since she began her coaching tenure.

In addition, Liz served on the Mount’s Board of Trustees from 2013 to 2021, Chairing the Board from 2018 to 2021. In 2023 she was asked to return, where she is again serving as Chair.  Liz brings a wealth of legal knowledge to the Board having practiced law for 40 years.

Recognizing her extensive contributions to the Mount, Liz was awarded an honorary degree several years ago, thereby becoming a member of the Alumnae Association of Mount Saint Mary Academy.
