2026-2027 School Leaders Installed During Special Ceremony

On the afternoon of Mercy Day, members of the school community gathered in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception to install and applaud leaders for the 2026-2027 academic year.

 

Members of the following groups were recognized: Executive Board of the Student Council, Class Level Officers, Class Delegates, Peer Ministry Leadership Team, Peer Facilitators, members of the National Honor Society and Cum Laude Society, National Merit Semifinalists, National Merit Commended Students, College Board National Recognition Program honorees, and students who were designated AP Scholars with Distinction, AP Scholars with Honor, and AP Scholars.

In her remarks, Sister Lisa Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress, challenged the installed leaders to model strong leadership, motivate the school community, build positive relationships, model kindness and mercy, and inspire connection. 

 

"Our newly-installed 'servant-leaders' have earned the trust of the student body, the faculty, and Administration. You are role models now. Your actions, decisions, and attitudes will influence not only your peers but the entire culture of the school," said Sister Lisa. "So, I ask you to lead with honesty, humility, respect, and to honor the traditions of this 118-year institution of Mercy."

 

Sister Lisa concluded, "As you begin this new school year, I place my confidence in you. I pray that you will embrace every challenge and every opportunity to make the Mercy Core Values real in how we care for each other. Let's work together to continue to build our legacy of excellence in what we say, in what we do, and in how we do it! God bless you!"
