Isabella McCrossan '27: Impossible Civics Test High Achiever

Congratulations to Isabella McCrossan '27 who has been recognized as an Impossible Civics Test High Achiever through the Presidential 1776 Award Program, a national civics competition commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Demonstrating intellectual curiosity, research skills, self-discipline, persistence, and a passion for civic learning, Isabella advanced to the semifinal round held in the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 2.

Joanne Cadigan-Peters, Isabella's AP Government and Politics teacher and Social Studies Department Chairperson, said, "Through her performance on the exam, Isabella showcased a deep understanding of the foundations of the United States, its constitutional principles, and the historical roots that have shaped the nation. Her achievement reflects not only extensive preparation and academic excellence, but also a strong appreciation for American history, citizenship, and the enduring ideals upon which the country was founded."

Mrs. Cadigan-Peters, whose guidance and instruction helped foster Isabella's success, added, "Isabella embodies the spirit of informed civic engagement and lifelong learning championed by the competition and its partners, including the U.S. Department of Education, the James Madison Foundation, Freedom 250, EBSCO Learning, and Ler.me."
