Rooted in Mercy: The Mount Celebrates Mercy Week

Throughout the week, the Mount community found ways to honor and illustrate the Mercy Core Values while celebrating the importance of a Mercy spirit and education. 

 

On Monday, students designed a colorful banner filled with yellow roses featuring words about women who inspire them and traditions of faith that motivate them. Our Mounties visited the Sisters of Mercy who reside at the McAuley Health Care Center on campus. After school on Wednesday, students attended a prayer service in the St. Joe's Chapel. The Mercy Day Liturgy, led by Reverend Monsignor Joseph Curry, was celebrated in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception where Sisters of Mercy renewed their vows and Mercy Associates renewed their covenant. A Chip Bag and Sock Drive collection was also held later in the week to help those in need.
