Civic Engagement Leaders - Celia Carnesi-Silberstein '27, Tate Smith '27, Lilah Meshki '27, Isabella McCrossan '27, Olivia Assuncao '28, and Emma Lee '28 - led "United in Remembrance: 25 Years Later - A 9/11 Flagpole Gathering" on the morning of September 11th.
During the reflection, the leaders said, "Thank you all for being here. Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. We gather at this flagpole today as a community to honor the 2,977 lives that were lost on that day. We remember the extraordinary bravery of the first responders and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to save others. And we remember the resilience of our country in the days that followed. As we lower our school's flag to half-staff, let it serve as a symbol of our shared grief, our deepest respect, and our promise to never forget."
Thank you to Joanne Cadigan-Peters, Social Studies Department Chairperson, for organizing this special commemoration and to Michael Wall, Instrumental Music Teacher, for playing "Taps" during the ceremony.
