Building a Foundation of Strong Academic Excellence and Confidence

As we came upon the high school application process with our oldest daughter Sofia, we didn’t know what to expect. We wanted her to be an integral part of the decision making. She has been in a parochial school since preschool and wanted to continue her religious learning alongside her academic education. She applied to three private catholic schools and was welcome to all, but her decision was quickly made the day she went to the open house at Mount Saint Mary Academy. After we had met with students and faculty Sofia turned to us and said, “this is the place for me!”. She was so sure that The Mount was a perfect fit for her. We all wanted an environment that would provide her with not only a strong academic education but a place that would instill confidence for a young woman. She accepted the invitation to attend her freshman year at The Mount.

Sofia’s experience at Mount Saint Mary has been nothing short of wonderful. Even before she started her first day of classes, she had met a great group of girls on the volleyball team. The Mount provides these girls an opportunity to grow and explore their interests through a large variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities. Staff and faculty have always been available for questions and made the transition run smoothly.

From day one at The Mount, I have seen my daughter grow in maturity and independence. She is happy to go to school every day and pushes herself to do well. Mount St. Mary has afforded her the support, environment, and tools she needs during this instrumental time in her life. She has met so many wonderful friends that will last a lifetime. We know The Mount was the right decision for Sofia and it has made such an impression that our second daughter Olivia has chosen The Mount as the right place for her as well. We cannot wait for her to start her journey at The Mount next year as I know it will be just as amazing!
