Inside the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, students, faculty and staff ushered in the 2025-2026 academic year during Convocation on September 3rd.
New faculty/staff members were recognized and introduced by Jacqueline Muratore (Assistant Directress for Faculty, Curriculum, and Planning). Next, the Mercy Core Values were shared by the Peer Ministers, reminding all to act with mercy and kindness throughout the year. Following the recitation of theSuscipe of Catherine McAuley, Sister Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S. (Directress) addressed the school community.
Sister Lisa said, "Look around you. Every face you see holds untapped potential, unique stories, and dreams waiting to be fulfilled. This school, these hallways, your classrooms are more than just buildings. This is a launchpad for your future. A future only you can create with God's help and the help of this community. I want you to remember something very simple, but very powerful: you matter. Your voice matters, your choices matter. Each day you walk through these doors, you're shaping who you are and who you will become."
After offering several meaningful pearls of wisdom to the students, Sister Lisa added, "Be you...be happy...be awesome...be MOUNT PACK."
