Sabrina Tse '26 has been accepted to The Governor's School of Engineering & Technology, which is hosted by the Rutgers University School of Engineering.
As a Governor’s School Scholar, Sabrina will have the opportunity to become immersed in the field of engineering and technology for approximately four weeks in the summer. It will begin with a two-day online onboarding session, followed by in-person sessions on campus for the remaining weeks. She will attend four academic classes, collaborate on research and/or design projects in small groups, and network with equally talented peers and professionals from across the state.
“I’m very excited to receive hands-on experience in the engineering field along with many talented peers,” said Sabrina. “I look forward to gaining meaningful opportunities that apply what I’ve learned in school to real-life challenges. Further, I am excited to simulate college life through the living experience of dorms during my time in the program.”
Dr. Dorothea Kominos, Department of Science Chairperson, said, “Sabrina is a superb student in math and science. Beyond the classroom, she spearheaded Mount Saint Mary Academy’s involvement with the NASA Hunch program.”
"Sabrina is an excellent student whose curiosity and eagerness leads her to explore ideas beyond the confines of the classroom,” added Timothy Mink, Mathematics Teacher at Mount Saint Mary Academy. “She actively seeks opportunities to broaden her knowledge, driven by a sincere desire to understand the world and make a meaningful contribution to it."
The Governor's School of Engineering & Technology is made possible through the generous support of Rutgers University, the State of New Jersey, corporate donors, Governor's School alumni, and several other contributors.
