Mounties Attend Eucharistic Pilgrimmage

On May 28, Mount students participated in a portion of the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Route, which is the eastern arm of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage (NEP). Each of the four routes on the NEP will meet this summer at the National Eucharistic Congress in July.

"Our students met with other pilgrims from around the Diocese of Metuchen for today’s journey," said Michelle Kovach, Director of Campus Ministry and theology teacher. As they walked from St. Francis Cathedral to St. Peter the Apostle in New Brunswick, they enjoyed fellowship, song and prayer. They then attended Mass at St. Peter’s with the other pilgrims."

Mrs. Kovach added, "During the homily, the celebrant reflected on the word “sincere” and how this is what Jesus wants from us. Christ calls us to come to him with a sincere and open heart. The celebrant continued to reflect on how we can all find an encounter with Christ in the presence of the Eucharist and we are then sent out into the world as a sign of God’s love.”
