Mr. Maldonado to Attend NCTE Convention
John Maldonado, Mount English teacher, was recently awarded a full scholarship to attend this year’s National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE) Annual Convention.
The Annual Convention is a four-day long professional development opportunity that brings together award-winning authors, educators, and speakers to provide attendees with creative, innovative curricular and instructional ideas to bring into their classrooms.
“I am constantly trying to find new ways to keep students engaged and active in the construction of knowledge and critical thought in the classroom, so I’m very excited to participate in the NCTE’s Annual Convention – it presents a great opportunity continue to grow professionally and provide the best instruction possible for our students,” said Mr. Maldonado.
