Mackenzie Daly '26 Attends Legislative Summit; Advocates for Non-Violence

From September 19 to 22, Mackenzie Daly '26 attended the 10th Biennial Jack and Jill of America, Inc. On the Hill Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C. The theme was “Amplifying Our Voices.”

Mackenzie, who serves as Teen President of the Central New Jersey chapter, was joined by 800 students from around the country who were trained in legislative advocacy. She visited the offices of NJ Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim as well as Congressmen Thomas Kean, Jr. and Frank Pallone.

Mackenzie identified with the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas Critical Concern of Nonviolence specifically regarding gun violence. She presented information and statistics and then asked for their support to pass the Raise the Age Act and Keep America Safe Act.

At Mount Saint Mary Academy, Mackenzie is involved in Students of Color Affinity Group Co-President, Manager for Cross Country Team, Winter Track Team, Spring Track Team. She is also a member of the Cum Laude Society and National Honor Society.
