Mount Community Raises $1,500 for Hurricane Relief in Jamaica
When the news broke that Hurricane Melissa was due to make landfall on October 28, 2025 and forecasted to devastate the lives of those in its path, particularly in Jamaica where many of the Mercy Education schools are located, students from Mount Saint Mary Academy sprung immediately into action.
Within only a few days, members of the Academy’s Student Council, Peer Ministry, and Peer Facilitators collected approximately $1,500 during lunch periods and through envelope collections held in classrooms to send to Mercy Education which distributed the funds to those who needed immediate assistance.
