The sky was the limit for NASA Hunch members at the Mount on September 29 as Dr. Florence Gold from NASA stopped by to inspire members of our culinary and design prototype teams.
Dr. Dorothea Kominos, Science Department Chairperson and organizer of Dr. Gold's visit, said that one of our two NASA Hunch Prototype and Design Teams is working on a design of an Artemis Lunar Sample Box.
"This box needs to be lightweight and airtight to collect samples from the lunar surface," she explained. "The team is looking at different fabrics that NASA uses and were talking about the possibility of a quilted box."
The second NASA Hunch Prototype and Design Team is working on creating a chess set from trash that will be available on the Artemis missions. Finally, our Hunch Culinary team is working on different tacos and fillings. Sounds delicious!
