A Proud Lifelong Member of the Mount Pack

Giuliana Pelcher '23
One thing I have discovered from my four years attending the Mount is that it is a special place full of unique opportunities, committed support, and passionate community members. With supportive faculty who truly care about the success of each and every one of their students, I was able to thrive in an environment where I can grow my confidence and interests while also being pushed and challenged to succeed. Having a smaller class size allowed me to ask questions and my teachers were always willing to help me outside of class when needed. Together, with smaller class sizes and an abundance of clubs and activities to join, there is something for everyone to get involved in. This also creates a multitude of leadership opportunities that are harder to find in other schools. During my time at Mount, I had the privilege of not only being on the HOPE Club Leadership Team but also being President of the Peer Facilitation Team along with many other leadership positions that I held along the way. Additionally, through these organizations, you can start to create connections with many teachers as well, who are active and involved in the school community.

During my freshman year, I joined the Future Medical Professionals Club which was moderated by Dr. Bernard and later, I had the honor of taking his Human Anatomy and Physiology class. The teachers exceed expectations by not only being supportive, encouraging, and caring but also tying interests from clubs into the classroom, as Dr. Bernard did for me. He inspired me to pursue a career in medicine and next year I will be studying Biology at Seton Hall University in their Joint BS/MD program. As I go into this next chapter of my life, I have no doubt that the Mount has provided me with everything I need to succeed personally and academically. The lifelong friendships I have made, the connected network I have formed, and the burning passion I have sparked over my past four years have made me forever grateful and indebted to this institution. Thank you does not adequately express my gratitude for this experience, and I am proud to call myself a graduate and member of Mount Pack for life.
