Freshmen Bond During Orientation

With red, gold, and blue balloons and heartfelt cheers of "Welcome!", the Mount Saint Mary Academy Class of 2026 began its successful journey on September 1st during Orientation. The freshmen wore pink "Picture Perfect" t-shirts as they met the members of the 2022-2023 Student Council Executive Board and heard a motivational speech from Directress S. Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S.

S. Lisa asked the freshmen to remember three important things: "You are part of a school community that cares about you. We are here to help you to succeed and to be happy. I want you to remember that the only way we can get to know you is by what you say, what you do, and how you treat others. And, last, but certainly not least, you were selected to be a member of this class because we saw some kind of gift in you that we wanted you to share with our school."

The freshmen toured the Academy and learned about the many clubs and activities which Donna Toryak, Director of Enrollment, enthusiastically encouraged them to explore. A fun scavenger hunt was held throughout the campus before lunch in the Student Center with mentor groups and Peer Facilitators. A closing prayer, announcements with Ms. Toryak, and the singing of the alma mater concluded a beautiful day of bonding and excitement! Welcome to the Mount Class of 2026!
