On April 13, the Mount community gathered for Stations of the Cross in Immaculate Conception Chapel. Bishop James F. Checchio of the Diocese of Metuchen offered special remarks at the beginning of the program.

The bishop was introduced by S. Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress, who stated, "With our journey through Lent coming to a close, we pause in our busy school/workday to prayerfully meditate on the Stations of the Cross. As you know, Holy Week is an observance of the special solemnity of devotion to the passion of Jesus Christ. So, we are thrilled and grateful -- during this significant week -- to welcome Bishop Checchio."

In his remarks, Bishop Checchio encouraged the Mount students, faculty and staff to remain rooted in prayer and close to Christ, especially during the turbulent times in our world such as the war in Ukraine. He reminded us of Christ's sacrifice and that He is always with us, providing us with love and strength.
