Isabella Latini '23 Awarded Blue Ribbon Piano Prize

Isabella Latini '23 received Blue Ribbon designation, the highest award bestowed, after auditioning at The Piano Teachers Forum of Central New Jersey 2022 Spring Festival on March 12.

 

To receive a Blue Ribbon, a pianist’s two memorized performances must be ranked and scored as “Outstanding” by the judges. The scoring consists of assessment of the following attributes of each piece: accuracy, tone, rhythm/tempo, pedaling, dynamics, memory, expression, phrasing, and poise/artistic expression.

 

“I was so excited to hear that I had earned Blue Ribbon distinction for this year’s festival,” said Isabella, who has been playing piano since she was 8 years old. “With so many talented pianists auditioning, receiving this award is such an honor.”
