Megan Decker Named NJ.com Swim Coach of the Year

After ending an epic and historic season for the Mount Saint Mary Academy Lions, Megan Decker learned on March 21st that she has been designated the NJ.com Girls Swimming Coach of the Year.
 
During her 10th season, Ms. Decker led her team to achieve a roster of notable accomplishments including a NJSIAA Non-Public A State Championship, as well as Somerset County, Skyland Conference and Divisional Championships.
 
“It’s a great honor to be named Girls Swim Coach of the Year, she said. “The Mount swimmers made it all possible with their talent and commitment.”
 
Denise Materia, Director of Athletics and Assistant Directress, added, “This is a well-deserved honor for Coach Decker. I am so proud of her and our team for their amazing run this season. Yes, we have a very talented team – but talent isn’t always enough. Coach Decker did a masterful job of creating the perfect lineup and having her team ready to compete meet after meet against some of the state’s toughest opponents. Congratulations, Megan!”
