Mount's Legal Lions Advance to Semi Finals

Danielle Lovallo, Mount Saint Mary Academy English teacher and Advisor to the Mount Mock Trial team, reported that Monday evening's competition results have earned the Legal Lions the opportunity to compete against Hillsborough in the semifinal round on Wednesday, February 16.

"Our defense team, led by sophomores June Gill '24 and Dylan Wolski '24, won against Watchung Hills last night! June was awarded best attorney and Diana Neste '22 was named best witness. Emma Szabo '24 and Katelin Rosenbaum '25 also gave fantastic performances that helped us earn this victory," said Ms. Lovallo.

Last week, the Legal Lions won over longtime rival Ridge in competition. The prosecution, led by student attorneys Diana Neste '22 and Taryn Murphy '23, along with witnesses Anne Tighe '24, Taylor Bubniak '24, and Mary Cate King '25 brought the team to a hard-fought victory.
