Forensics Speech & Debate Team Competes in Princeton Competition

On Saturday, December 4, seven members of the Mount Saint Mary Academy Forensics Speech & Debate Team competed live in the prestigious Princeton Classic Speech & Debate Tournament hosted by Princeton University on the virtual site "NSDA Campus."
"Our team competed against students from 27 states in a challenging five round competition that began at 8 am and ended at 6 pm," said Lana Abbott, co-moderator of the team. "After the five rounds completed, Victoria Fekete '24 'broke' into the semifinal rounds of Congressional Debate!"

Many thanks to Mr. Karanam, father of Akshaya '24, who judged Debate for our team while Mrs. Abbott judged Speech categories. Each team entered must provide a judge for Speech categories and a judge for Debate categories. We are very proud of all our competitors!
