Bravo to the Cast, Crew of Yours Truly, Jack Frost

This weekend, the Sister Lisa Gambacorto Theater was filled with audiences impressed by performances of the fall play, Yours Truly, Jack Frost.

Mia Pafumi, Music Department Chair, said, “Having the opportunity to pair our students’ talent with the state of the art technology in the newly-renovated Sister Lisa Gambacorto Theater for its debut performance was a joy only that of the Christmas season could match. Tim Kelly's lighthearted comedy Yours Truly, Jack Frost was just the play for the job, with performance under my direction and Catrina Coffey’s assistance, as well as Vanessa Emanuele’s shimmering and frosty set design. The play was well received each evening by the audience, who found the play heartwarming—despite the wintry theme! We can’t wait for the next production, and we’ll see you in the spring!”

"I enjoyed being able to play the part of Joan Joan in the fall production this year," said junior Marina Cialdella '23. "I had a wonderful time performing in the newly renovated theater with my cast members, with the help of the crew and directors. With all of our hard work and time put into this, I was able to make many new friends and form a closer bond.”

"As an upperclasswoman, I have been waiting to perform in the newly renovated Sister Lisa Gambacorto Theater," said junior Kailey Fahy '23, "I think Yours Truly, Jack Frost was the perfect premiere show, as it encompassed the true essence of the holiday season. The idea of love and respect are two ideals emphasized in the show and are two values that Mount students strive to live out daily. Under the direction of Ms. Pafumi and Mrs. Coffey the show was an event that everyone enjoyed and was a great way to kick off the holiday season.

Katelin Rosenbaum '25, a freshman, shared, "I had an amazing time during rehearsals and during the show. Playing Frostbite was an amazing opportunity for me. I learned how to portray emotions through my body language and how to get the audience's attention without speaking. My favorite part of the play was when I had the stage to myself and I got to dance all around the stage and just show the personality of the character. As Frostbite would say 'Bark Bark!'"

S. Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S., Directress, added, "This weekend’s performances of Yours Truly, Jack Frost were truly impressive. This was the very first play staged live in the Sister Lisa Gambacorto Theater... a long-awaited event! The talent of the cast in this cheerful play was remarkable. Bravo to Ms. Pafumi and Mrs. Coffey, as well as the crew, that made these performances possible."
