Mount Saint Mary Named to AP School Honor Roll

College Board announced that Mount Saint Mary Academy has been named to the Advanced Placement® Program (AP®) School Honor Roll, earning SILVER distinction.

The AP® School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.

Twenty-four or 39 percent took 5 or more AP courses and exams during their career at Mount Saint Mary Academy. Ninety-four percent of the Class of 2023 engaged in the AP program, taking at least one AP course and exam during their Mount career. Seventy-one percent of the Class of 2023 students received a score of 3 or higher on an AP exam. During their career at Mount Saint Mary Academy, thirty-nine percent of the senior class of 2023 took 5 or more AP courses and exams.

During the 2023-2024 academic year, the Mount is providing a total of 21 AP courses: Art History, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Comparative Government & Politics, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, Environmental Science, French Language & Culture, Human Geography, Italian Language & Culture, Macroeconomics, Physics I, Psychology, Spanish Language & Culture, Statistics, U.S. Government & Politics, and U.S. History.
Of current AP courses at the Mount, there are 27 sections/classes and four sections/classes provided through One Schoolhouse.
