'Smooth Sailing' for Freshmen During Orientation

Members of the Mount's Class of 2025 enjoyed an exciting assortment of activities on the afternoon of September 8th during Freshmen Orientation. They met in the Gym to receive their special t-shirts with the theme "Smooth Sailing" and signed a life preserver. Next, they engaged in ice breaker activities while enjoying a pizza, salad, and ice cream sandwich luncheon in the Student Center. Before taking their photo IDs, going on tours of the campus, and attending Clubs' Fair in the Gym, the freshmen gathered in Chapel to hear inspiring remarks from S. Lisa D. Gambacorto, RSM, Ed.S. (Directress). 

 

S. Lisa, who said that each new class brings new talents and gifts to the  Academy, noted that the freshmen are now a part of a community that cares about each and every one of them.

 

"Each of you have been selected to be here. We care about what you think and what you feel," she said. "We are here to help you succeed and be happy."
