Female Participation in AP Computer Science Course Lauded by College Board

Sofia Santos, Director of the Office of Student Services, reported on Monday, February 10, that the College Board has once again recognized the female participation of students in the Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles Course which is taught by Brian Vagnini, Computer Science Department Chairperson. 

Sophie Callahan '20 Accepted to United States Air Force Academy

Mount Saint Mary Academy senior Sophie Callahan set her sights and aspirations on furthering her studies at the United States Air Force Academy from the second that she stepped on the campus in Colorado and it has become a dream realized.

“My interest in the service academies comes from my Uncle, who is a Naval Academy graduate. However, I decided to pursue the Air Force Academy as my top choice because of the strong academics, great location, and unique flight programs,” said Sophie. “I knew the Air Force Academy was the right place for me to chase my personal and academic goals.”

Three Mount Students Receive Diocesan Awards

Isabel Gachko, Director of Theology, teacher and Campus Minister, announced that Alexa Mistichelli '20, Olivia Tiboni '20 and Carli Van Haute '20 received Diocesan Youth Awards from the Diocese of Metuchen on Saturday, February 8, 2020 during a special Mass.

Alexa, Olivia and Carli received the diocese’s St. Timothy Award. Alexa also received the St. Teresa Award.
