On May 15, female finance executives from Wells Fargo, HSBC, and Credit Suisse hosted 10 Mount Saint Mary Academy students at the Wells Fargo headquarters in New York City for a panel discussion on careers in the finance industry.
Lauren Clouser '18 and Elizabeth (Ellie) Dekker '19 earned grants to study in Italy this July for 12 days from IACE (Italian American Committee on Education).

On the evening of Tuesday, May 16, Mount Saint Mary Academy held its 33rd Annual Academy Awards Night in the Immaculate Conception Chapel for members of the student body, as well as faculty and staff. Academic, Special and Service Awards were distributed.
On the evening of Wednesday, May 10, the Somerset County High School Principals Association, which also operates as the Somerset County Interscholastic Athletic Association, recognized Victoria Gainey, a senior at Mount Saint Mary Academy, as one of its scholar-athletes.

Early on the morning of May 1, Mrs. Marion Drew, Director of Choral Music & Theater at Mount Saint Mary Academy, asked seven of her Chorale students to huddle together in the choir room for some big news.
As Caroline Coey, Michelle Colman, Alexandra Gomes, Kelly Meade, Sydney Nigro, Abby (Abigail) Varker and Sarah Wiggins gathered closer, the announcement came – all seven girls who auditioned last weekend for the New Jersey All-State Chorus were accepted. Caroline Coey received the best score among the group.

Congratulations to the Spanish students from Mount Saint Mary Academy who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2017 National Spanish Examinations.
Ms. Jennifer Larson, Latin and Classics teacher, reported that Isabel Velarde '17 has won the second prize in a national competition for high school students. The contest was sponsored by Eiodolon, an online Classics journal.
