Please note that the 2013-2014 school year is a transitional year for uniforms as we phase out certain elements and integrate new ones.  The blue corded skirt will be phased out and is no longer available through Flynn and O’Hara.  Sophomores who have this skirt in good condition are permitted to wear it for this school year only.  Seniors whose skirts are in good condition and meet the standards of the Academy may continue to wear them.  Any senior whose skirt is too short, ill-fitting, or damaged is required to purchase the gray skirt.  The uniform shirts featuring the “MSMA” logo will be phased out and are no longer available through Flynn and O’Hara.  All new uniform shirts will have the official school seal.

Shoes

Shoes are to be comfortable and practical with no heel or a low heel.  They must be solid navy, brown, or black.  If a student is unable to wear the proper shoes for medical reasons, she must bring a note from her parents to the school nurse in order to obtain a pass.

White Gown

The white gown is an important part of Mount tradition and must be worn by every student on certain special occasions throughout the school year.  The gown must be a white, formal, ankle-length dress.  Students are also required to wear white shoes, white gloves, and tan or white stockings.  All students must have their gowns by September 15.
