Freshman for a Day
Deciding which high school to attend is an important decision. At the Mount, we believe the best way to learn if a school is the right fit is to try it on for a day. We invite all seventh and eighth graders and prospective transfer students considering the Mount to be our honored guests. Our Freshman for a Day program pairs each prospective student with one of our current students who will serve as her hostess for the day, walking her through the class schedule, introducing her to friends, and sharing insights on what it is like to be a Mount student.
Each one of our special visitors participates in a full day of classes, meets Mount teachers, tours the campus, and enjoys a complimentary lunch in our Student Center. The day begins at 7:45 a.m. and concludes at 2:45 p.m.
Upcoming Freshman for a Day Visits for 8th grade students begin in late October. Reservation arrangements will open on October 15.
We are now scheduling visits for 7th graders. Arrangements may be made no earlier than a week in advance of the date requested. These are the dates for 7th Grade Visits:
- April 25, 27, and 28
- May 8, 9, 10, 11, 23 and 24
If you would like to join us, contact Ms. Donna Toryak, Director of Admissions, at 908.757.0108 x4506 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a visit. Visits for eighth graders begin at the end of October. Seventh grade visits commence in the spring.
