- Gym Repairs
Summer 2009: The Mother Mary Patrick Gymnasium was in need of some serious repairs! The old wood floor was replaced with a shinning new one, we installed a new curtain and scoreboard, fixed the bleachers and gave the whole place a new coat of paint. The Mount’s tradition of athletic excellence will continue in this beautifully refurbished facility.
- E. E. Ford
Fall 2009: The Edward E. Ford Foundation challenged the Mount community to raise $100,000 to be placed in a need-based scholarship endowment fund. If that sum was raised by a set deadline, the Foundation would contribute a matching $50,000 to the endowed fund. Through the generosity of Mount alumnae, families and friends, we exceeded the challenge before the deadline! With the Foundation’s help, we now have established a need-based endowed Scholarship Fund containing over $168,000.
- Angels of Victory Field and OurLady Queen of Peace Centennial Garden
2006-2008: The construction of the Angels of Victory Field and Our Lady Queen of Peace Centennial Garden was completed during the Mount’s centennial year and raised over 5.7 million dollars— the school’s most ambitious campaign to date. A state of the art athletic facility, including a soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey turf field with a six-lane track, and a 600-seat grandstand was painstakingly built into the side of a mountain. Beside it sits the beautiful Our Lady Queen of Peace Centennial Garden, whichprovides a place of peace and tranquility for the Mount Saint Mary complex.

Centennial Celebration
2008: Celebrating its centennial anniversary, the Mount community gathered at events throughout the year to remember our past, rejoice in our present and envision our future. We kicked off our celebration with an Opening Liturgy and Champagne Reception in January 2008. The celebrations continued at the Centennial Fall Festival held on September 28th, the exact anniversary of the day the Mount opened its doors. In November, members of the Mount community gathered at the 100 Candles Centennial Gala for a stellar evening complete with friendship, fine food, dancing and fireworks to celebrate all things Mount. The year came to an end at the Closing Christmas Concert in December 2008. Even now, although the centennial festivities are over, a feeling of celebration and community remains.
